Vegastream announce 8.2 Generally Available
 Vegastream have announced the arrival of their latest firmware release for their Vega Gateway platform. The 8.2 firmware is now generally available (GA) from their website, from the beginning of March, Switchnet Systems Ltd will ship all Vega Gateways with the 8.2 build of firmware.
The new firmware delivers a host of new features and functionality including IP-Centrex survivability which delivers a fallback to the local phone lines for local IP Handsets in the event of network downtime, router failure of Centrex platform problems. Confirmed costs for this feature have not yet been published by Vegastream but it is expected to be circa 10% of the unit retail cost to add this funtionality.
